La historia del suelo: como afecta a la estructura del sotobosque en plantaciones de Araucaria angustifolia

Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntze plantations are the only ones in Misiones that involve a native species that is also considered critically endangered due to its historical exploitation. A. angustifolia plantations can contribute to species conservation but this capacity could also be affected. The objective of this study is to evaluate whether previous uses affect plantation development and conservation capacity. In this sense, the development of the plantation and the understory was evaluated by observing a decrease in tree plantation establishment and a decrease in the diversity of understory species associated with the increase of a dominant species (Piper spp.).
