Meso- and microstructural analysis of the Magallanes-Fagnano transform fault in the Andean Cordillera of the Tierra del Fuego-Argentina. The mapping of a shear zone pertaining to a strike-slip fault of the Magallanes-Fagnano systems, permit to describe the main deformation structures of the shear zone at meso-and-microscopic scale. The deformed rocks span from milonites to cataclasites with well developed microstructures as well as fish-eyes, deformation twinning, subgrains and strain fringes that indicate a sinistral strike-slip kinematics.
