Resumen:
Structural setting, petrology and geophysic of Bahía Ushuaia - Argentina. In the Bahía Ushuaia outcrops dark schists and sedimentary rocks pertaining to the Yaghán Fm of the Lower Cretaceous, are strongly deformed by Andean compresional tectonics of the Upper Cretaceous. At least two tectonic phases with isoclinal folds and slaty cleavage, deformed by mesoscopic folds and a crenulation cleavage affect the rocks. This unit hosts an alkaline pluton, composed of basic to acid terms, dominated by monzonite-syenite rocks enclosing ultrabasic enclaves. The aereomagnetic survey and magnetic measurements integrated with the geological information permitted to modelled a N-S cross section through the area.
