In industrial electrical drives has been traditionally employed the technique of analysis the technique of analysis of vibration to detect misalignment between the motor axes and the load. This technique requires the placements of sensors directly on the drive, which makes it difficult to apply. In some cases, it may be impossible to apply (submerged or hard access drives). Recently, as complement the vibration analysis technique progress has been made in the use of diagnostics on-line through electrical variables of the electric motor driving. In this paper proposes a technique of misalignment detection based in the monitoring of the power absorbed electric for the motor. It shows that the misalignment translates in the appearance of a component at the rotation frequency in the power and based on this develops an algorithm of diagnostic based in fuzzy logic.
