Resumen:
p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; line-height: 120%; }There is a constant interest in the development ofnew phosphors to be employed as thermoluminescence (TL) andradioluminescence (RL) detectors. In this context, fluoride crystalshave a number of interesting properties from the viewpoint of bothbasic research and technological applications. Some favorablephysical properties of fluoride compounds are high transparency in awide range of wavelengths and high radiation stability in comparisonwith other halogen crystals. Besides, fluoride crystals doped withoptically active cations exhibit efficient luminescence. In thisframework, thermoluminescence (TL), radioluminescence (RL) andphotoluminescence (PL) of KYF4 doped with differentconcentrations of cerium have been investigated.
