Microplastic contamination in continental waters: The case of the Langueyú stream, Tandil, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina

In order to make an adequate diagnosis of the contamination by MPs, it is necessary to have a sample extraction and processing methodology that is the most optimal according to the system where the samples are being extracted. From a good diagnosis of the problem, it is possible to know the sources of MPs. This information would allow proposals for concrete actions to remedy and mitigate this problem, based on experiences in other places or existing research in this regard.In this work, the problematic about the microplastic contamination in continental waters is regarded. The study case of the Langueyú stream, located in Tandil, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina is presented.
