Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radar signals are characterized for having both high-frequencycomponents and a very large bandwidth. When a target is illuminated with UWB pulses, thescattered field from the target is a signal highly dependent on the composition and shapeof the target. This makes UWB a great tool for non destructive characterization of samples(Osório de Sousa Piscarreta 2014).To this end, we built a test-bed for implementing and testing algorithms for impulsive UltraWideband (UWB) applications. Our goal is to use this testbed to capture scattered responsesfrom targets, in order to classify objects by their composition.
