Resumen:
The signal scattered from a finite size object, when illuminated by a frequency rich signal, is uniquely determined by a set of natural resonances that depend only on the electrical and geometrical characteristics of the object. In this paper, we propose a classification method for different dielectric materials that is based on this principle. To overcome the problem of estimating the number of relevant resonances, we propose aclassification scheme that uses the numerical range of the matrix pencil associated to the initial problem.
