The different stellar groups which compose the association AraOB1 are showed as a typical example of the paradigm of sequential stellar formation at scales of associations. In order to prove the validity of such theory is essential to have a detailed knowledge of the physical properties of the components which constitute the mixture: gas, dust and stars. We have encouraged an ambicious project involving not only the use of information carried out from different wavelengths but the use of images of wide field of the region to describe more precisely the distribution of dust and the gas in a variety of states in this place. In this work, we present new results of the distribution of ionized gas, dust and extinction based on narrow band optical images obtained with the camera Curtis-Schmidt at CTIO and data and images of infrared cameras from the 2MASS project and the satellite Midcourse Space Experiment(MSX).
