Resumen:
The centenary of the FirstWorld War fostered a remarkable historiographical renewal that opened the wayto new approaches and objects of study and enabled new historical actors tobecome visible. Among these, the so-called peripheries of the war occupy a fundamentalplace. We define as such the countries or regions with a late and/or marginalparticipation in the conflict, or even neutral states. Likewise, it has been perceivedthat the impact of the Great War far exceeded the most evident spheres - foreignrelations and the economy - and made itself felt on other dimensions of the socialreality of these peripheries, such as culture, politics and daily life. The waralso led to an intense social mobilization around it. Because of themultidimensional impact of the war, it begins to be recognized that, despitethe temperament adopted in foreign policy, the peripheries also built intensesocial experiences around a war from which they remained officially on thesidelines.            Thispresentation aims to reflect on the theoretical and methodological approachesto studying the myriad repercussions of the Great War in the margins of the wartheatre. It takes as an example the case of neutral Argentina.
