Resumen:
As a globalphenomenon, the First World War had repercussions that exceeded the belligerentcountries and affected societies distant from the European war and evenformally out of the conflict. In that sense, its impact wasnot limited to the military dimension, but also involved other aspects, fromeconomy to culture. Latin America was one of thoseperipheral regions profoundly shaken by the war. This paper aims to study the repercussions of the conflict in this subcontinent´s societies.
