Resumen:
Despite the neutral policy adopted by the Argentine state during the Great War, civil society was not indifferent to it. On the contrary, from the beginning of the conflict it took sides with one or another belligerent part. That was the result of the cultural, economic and demographic ties that historically connected the country to Europe. The civilizatory crisis affecting the main references of the Argentine nation produced different reactions, from the reaffirmation of the traditional links with the Old Continent to perplexity about the so-called "suicide of Europe", and the search for new models. This paper intends to explore those manifestations of the cultural crisis generated by the First World War.
