Héctor Pablo Agosti was the most important organic intellectual of the Partido Comunista de la Argentina (Communist Party of Argentina, PCA). This book about Agosti?s ideas and works started life as Laura Prado Acosta?s Master?s dissertation. The time period considered by theauthor goes from the late 1920s, with the start of Agosti?s political activism, until 1963, when a large group of activists ? including some of his inner-circle disciples ? left the party. This book review analize the relations between culture, ideology and politics in local communism through this particular case.
