Resumen:
Epidemiologic studies provide evidence that environmental exposures are associated with an increased risk of breast cancer. Organochlorine pesticides such as Hexachlorobenzene (HCB), have been identified as endocrine disruptors, and the evidence had shown that the organochlorines body burden could influence to develop of specific subtype of mammary tumor. Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is associated with a worse survival, while Estrogen Receptor β (ERβ) is a favorable prognosis indicator for breast cancer. Our aim was to investigate the HCB (0.005; 0.05; 0.5 and 5 μM) action on pro-angiogenic factors expression, cell proliferation, migration and mamospheres development in (ERα-/HER2+) LM3 murine breast cancer cells. Our results indicated that HCB increases cell proliferation and migration at 0.05 and 5 μM (p
