Resumen:
microRNAs in Taenia crassiceps and Taenia solium: characterization and future applicationsPérez M.G; Cucher M; Machiarolli N; Rosenzvit M.In accordance to WHO, cisticercosis is part of the Neglected Zoonosis subgroup for its strategic plan. Taenia crassiceps is a cestode closely related to Taenia solium. Even though the use of this parasite as cestode model, molecular information of this parasite is scarce. Over the last decade, there has been increasing interest in small RNAs in parasitic cestodes. At present there was not evidence of the complete repertoire of miRNAs in T. crassiceps cysticerci. In this report, high-throughput characterization of smallRNAs in T. crassiceps cysticercus stage is presented. RNA enriched in small RNAs (
