Resumen:
Acinetobacter species are considered to be emerging nosocomial pathogens. Acinetobacter junii?an atypical human pathogen?was associated mainly with bacteremia in neonates and pediatric oncology, meningitis, peritonitis, ocularinfection, and septicemia. We report the presence of a clinically significant A. junii blaNDM-1 positive strain in Argentina. This data expands the number of Acinetobacter species description harboring blaNDM-1.
