Resumen:
From my early childhood I wanted to imitate my parents: mother by her femininity and aptness to teach and father by his willpower and because he was a chemist in spite that I understood all this many years later. I had the aim to reach their talents and these dreams have encouraged me. At the state secondary school I got the diploma to be teacher for primary education; afterwards, I studied Chemistry at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences-University of Buenos Aires (specialization in physical chemistry and nuclear chemistry). At 22 years old I married Raúl Reca, a medical doctor who really was my life wonderful fellow. Both, we continued studies in Europe getting the post-doctoral certificates at München-Germany and Orsay-France Universities. We had formed, meantime, a nice family with three boys. After several years we came back to Argentina. Trough challenges, hard work and study and with day by day efforts we tried to reach our dreams. Now, I am very old indeed but, I follow working in research, teaching (33 PhD have been directed), publishing (about 300 papers), being a member of the National Academy of Science, receiving several foreign and national awards. Now, I lost my husband and I cannot speak of happiness indeed but, I can face up the life still with enthusiastic research, enjoying familiar life and helping my grandchildren, contributing to young students´ education. I understand simply that I feel myself grateful, peaceful and pleased because my dreams have been attained.
