Resumen:
Since ZrO2-CeO2 mixed oxides have been proposed as anodes for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFC), the study of structural and chemical stability at the reducing conditions prevailing in the anode chamber of IT-SOFCs, has become an issue of great interest. Besides SOFCs applications, ceria-based materials have been developed as catalysts or catalysts support for many chemical reactions. The great attention gained by ceria-based materials relays on ceria high reducibility and oxygen storage capacity [1-3]. In this work, the analysis of structural and redox changes suffered by Ce0.9Zr0.1O2 under reducing, oxidizing and reaction conditions, studied by means of in situ synchrotron based techniques, are reported.
