Resumen:
Recent advancements in the lidar industry are calling for improved and simplerways to share lidar measurements within and outside the lidar community. Thegoal of the proposed next-generation web-based tool is two-fold: to meet thedemand for visualization of lidar measurements by means of a single web-basedportal, and provide tools to standarize data formats, while letting users search dataquickly and efficiently.The upcoming creation of a Latin American Lidar network brings an excellentopportunity to learn more about the needs of each working group. An analysis ofcurrent lidar networks and how the Latin American Lidar network may contribute tothe industry as a joint effort will also be discussed.
