An Attempt to Disambiguate Saddle Points in Marching Squares

Marching Squares is an algorithm that generates contours forbinary images. However, it has a flaw far down in its desing, since it cannot discern the correct orientation of the segments in saddle points. Inthis work, a post-processing algorithm that disambiguates saddle pointsis presented, assuming that all the high frequency elements of the contourare expected to survive.
