Resumen:
Autophagy constitutes a direct mechanism of bacterial elimination and can be modulated by cytokines and other immunological mediators. PGE2, a bioactive lipid mediator derived from arachidonic acid, participates inthe initiation and resolution of inflammation and aids in the return to homeostasis. The aim of this work was to investigate whether PGE2 regulates the autophagy process and its role during the immune response of the host against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
