Resumen:
Controlled and targeted drug delivery techniques have been pursued vigorously in the late years. One of these attempted methods is the nanoencapsulation of therapeutical proteins with biofriendly polysaccharides. In such a way, chitosan (CHI), which comes from the shrimp industry treated waste, fulfil a series of chemical properties that make it biocompatible, biodegradable, mucoadhesive and also has antibiotic properties. It has the particular feature to interact with the proteins forming tissues´ tight union zones.The aim of our research is to control the liberation of growth factors like EGF and PDGF through nanocarriers produced with argentine CS (NanoSano). This technique would help improve tissue regeneration therapies. After our CHI was found to have an accurate molecular weight, experiments on two cells lines were taken on. MTT viability tests showed that in its polymeric state, CHI had no effect on HeLa cells (n=3; p>0.05), and had a significant but little effect on 3T3 cells (n=3; p
