Resumen:
Porphyry Cu systems consist of large volumes of rocks (10−>100 km3) affected by hydrothermal alteration centered on Cu-bearing porphyry stocks with ages ranging from the Archean to the Cenozoic. The deeper parts of porphyry Cu systems also may host Cu, Au, and Zn skarns whereas their shallower parts may contain high- and intermediate-sulfidation epithermal Au ± Ag ± Cu mineralizations. These deposits currently represent the world?s largest source of Cu, typically with average grades of 0.5 to 1.5% Cu,
