Chemical and chromatic zoning in tourmalines of pegmatites from the Conlara Metamorphic Complex, San Luis province. Chemical and colour variations found in sections perpendicular to the c axis of tourmaline crystals from pegmatites of the Conlara Metamorphic Complex were analysed in this contribution. From core to rim there are considerable variations in Fe/Mg (1.94 to 1.01), Al (6.59 to 6.43 apfu), Si (5.86 to 5.78 apfu), Ca (0.03 to 0.06 apfu) and Ti (0.03 to 0.09 apfu). In particular, it is remarkable the increase in Ca and Ti concentrations towards the rims. We infer that those variations could be related to hourglass zonation
