Resumen:
Talagapa caldera is a Miocene trachyte volcanic building developed in the periphery of the Somuncura basalt plateau. The caldera is 4 x 5.4 km in size within the rim, with a cavity volume of ca. 5.4 km3. A good exposure of tephra located at 6.6 km from the Talagapa caldera’s northern rim gives a good insight to understand the development of one of the several episodes of Talagapa complex eruptive history.
