Resumen:
Introduction:Community Pharmacy is a subject of the Pharmacy degree, of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences, National University of Córdoba, Argentina. One of main objectives of the course is that the students to learn basic concepts related to the management of the pharmacy and the provision of professional services. Therefore, during the coursed they develop topics related to human resources, profitability and the provision of services from the pharmacy.Purpose:Getting students to incorporate the concept of strategic planning, pharmaceutical professional services and profitability through the design of a professional development plan.Methods:A final work was designed and realized by 86 students distributed in 23 groups.Hypothetical Pharmacies were generated for each group and were randomized into on the map of Cordoba city.Based on the supplied information, students had to perform a diagnostic and professional development plan to optimize functioning of the pharmacy. The purpose of this activity was based on offer a novel service focused in a themed area assigned by professors. Results:All groups of students were capable to make an economic analysis of the pharmacy, to identify a type of specific customer and their necessity and finally to design a service. ?Technologies of the Information and the Communication (Tics), test (Framingham, Fagerström, Richmond, Findrisk, etc) and test strips for self-diagnosis, the exploitation of measuring devices (spirometer, oximeter, bone densitometer, blood pressure devices), and cooperative working with other health professionals were implemented in the development of services?.In the satisfaction survey, the 80 per cent of students considered the methodology and topics addressed in the final inclusive work as ?excellent? or ?very good?. Conclusion:The teaching proposal was interesting because the student applied and consolidated knowledge related to the provision of professional services from the pharmacy as key factor of the new paradigm of the profession.
