Resumen:
The guidance of human sperm cells under micro-confinement in quasi 2D microchambers was investigated using a purely physical method to control their distribution. We observed that V-shape obstacles, used for bacterial rectification induced sperm trapping into the corners. Hence, we evaluate alternative asymmetric obstacles for sperm rectification and we observed that U-shape obstacles can efficiently rectificate sperm movement and can be used for mechanically direct the sperm movement towards areas of interest.
