Resumen:
In ?Steps toward Origins of Propositional Thought?, Burge claims that animals of different species are capable of making deductive inferences. According to Burge, that is why propositional thought is extended beyond human mind, to other kind of creatures. But, as I want to argue here, the content of animal thought cannot have a propositional structure. According to my argument, propositional content has a predicative structure that differs from animal?s capability for predication. In particular, propositional predicates have a quantificational structure, and the lack of that structure may explain some particular features of animal thought.
