Resumen:
9CST is a valid and reliable screening for executive function, intelligence and academic achievement. It deals with three non-verbal criteria. Studies with clinical and nonclinical samples indicate that percentile 25 (P25) from healthy participants is a suitable index for possible deficits. Performance from people who abandoned primary school was less or equal than P25. Dropout for higher levels of education showed the opposite pattern. Contrasting causes for leaving primary school (which is predominantly verbal) were expressed: Internal causes: 53% (lack of capacity 52%, lack of interest 36%, both reasons 12%); external causes: 30% (79%: due to their parents);17% no answer.
