Resumen:
The purpose of this presentatiton is to identify -briefly- salient issues of caregiving for family members of palliative care patients. The research was exploratory-descriptive, based on a flexible design, specifically case studies. Caregivers (n=50) were selected randomly among relatives of home Palliative Care patients attended in the Lanari Institute (University of Buenos Aires, Argentina). Three dimensions were evaluated: a) Attitudes of the caregiver towards the treatments. b) Perceptions of the caregivers of the needs and wishes of the patient. c) Evaluation of their own role as “caregiver”.
