Resumen:
Background. 0.36. Examing cancer disparities, poses epistemological challenges, because social inequalities operare through overlapping and complex pathways spanning multiple levels. This study aims to advance our understanding on how pathways shape conditions for the emergence but also the invisibility of disparities´generation in the cancer control continuum. We include some of the diverse multiethnic, unequal and heterogeneus subpopulations of Latin American Region, usually excluded in public health studies. 2. Design. 1.03 m It´s a six years community-based participatory research, based on a mixed methods strategy and an implementation science cycle. It includes a multilevel design. In the first cycle, we mapped segregated neighborhoods using Geographic Information Systems (QGIS), to cross ecological variables -such as the water normal index- with deparmental-level data statistics The second cycle include ethnographic inquiry, lifecourse approaches and audiovisual methods permit to identify cultural values and common social identities within a 50 km diameter. Three communities were selected: 1) rural workers europenan descendents; 2) artisanal fishermen internal migrants; and 3) waste-pickers with many generations living by an open dumpsite. In the last cycle, long-term engagement with the communities led to define partnerships and the implemention of evidence-based interventions.
