Resumen:
Murine multidrug resistant and human leukemic cell lines were used to investigate: a) modulation of NF-kB signaling pathway by BAY 11-7082, CAPE and MG-132 and their effect on apoptosis induction, b) the ability of HA and oHA to induce apoptosis on MDR cell lines by down regulation of PI3K/Akt pathway. We showed constitutive NF-kB activity in murine resistant cell lines and dependence of this pathway in the human cell line, suggesting that NF-kB signaling pathway should play a key role in proliferation and survival. Specific inhibitors down regulated NF-kB expression in a dose-dependent manner leading to apoptosis induction. oHA were also able to induce apoptosis in murine resistant cell lines through decreasing Akt phosphorylation as well as survivin levels.
