Resumen:
The essential oil of Mirrhynum atropurpureum Schott var.octandrum Benthan was analized by means of GC and GC-MS. From 24 compounds identified, representing 95,6% of the oils, alfa pinene was the major components. The oil showed antimicrobial activity agaisnt Gram positive.
