Resumen:
We prove that a finite non-degenerate involutive set-theoretic solution (X,r)of the Yang-Baxter equation is a multipermutation solution if and only if itsstructure group G(X,r) admits a left ordering or equivalently it ispoly-(infinite cyclic).
