Resumen:
This book intends to constitute a useful tool toaccess to data and a general discussion about the mechanisms that have beenassociated with the development of the Southern Andes. It is mainly conceivedfor Earth Science professionals working in academia and industry, as well asPhD and Ms students and interested readers in general.   This book is structured through atotal number of 10 chapters, where the initial two are focused on general aspectssuch as crustal density structure and main source areas of the sedimentarybasins that characterize the Southern Andes through time, while the other eightanalyze the structure and evolution of particular mountain sectors ordered fromnorth to south. The book contains maps, schemes and cross sections thatconstitute up-to-date proposals that use previous and new datasets. Differentsources are cited at the end of each chapter that can be used to expand particularpoints discussed in the book.
