Interactions between members of the Bcl-2 family include both protein-protein interaction and protein-membrane interaction. Some of the proteins belonging to the Bcl-2 family (Bax and Bid) undergo conformational changes and exposure of hidden domains, allowing activation, binding to the mitochondrial outer membrane and its subsequent permeabilization.In this work we applied molecular electrostatic calculations and dynamics simulations to analyze the initial steps of the interaction Bax-Membrane and the specific interaction between Bax and Bid.
