Resumen:
This technique is applied to the study of the intestinal absorption of substances, its interaction with other constituents of the intestinal content, and the mechanism involved in its degradation in the lumen. It is a widely used technique and there is plenty of bibliography that shows the results obtained with it.This technique has an advantage: the portion of intestine to be studied is not separated from the animal, which remains alive during the experiment. As a disadvantage, the organ cannot be studied completely and the concentration in the blood flowing through the intestine cannot be measured. This last inconvenient is overcome by the intestine perfusion.
