ABSTRACT: Some results obtained from different tests and procedures implemented in 12 volt DC LED lamps are presented in this paper. They were carried out as part of the certification tests required of suppliers, in bidding documents for public tenders. They consisted of different measurements of luminous intensity, spectral response, voltage range, temperature variation, real power consumption and the relationship with the luminous flux, among others. The results obtained show a low dispersion of the lighting characteristics, also a good correspondence with the values published by the manufacturers. On the other hand, an electrical safety test procedure of the same type of lamps is partially described.
