Resumen:
The concentrationofAl,Cr,Fe,Mn,Ni,Cu,Zn,Hg,Sr,Mo,Ag,Cd,PbandAswasanalyzedinwater,sediment, andmuscleof Odontesthes bonariensis from theeutrophicSanRoqueLake(Córdoba-Argenti-na). Themonitoringcampaignwasperformedduringthewet,dryandintermediateseason.Thecon-centration ofCr,Fe,Pb,Zn,AlandCdinwaterexceededthelimitsconsideredashazardousforaquaticlife. Thehighestmetalconcentrationswereobservedinsediment,intermediateconcentrations,in fishmuscle, andthelowestinwater,withtheexceptionofCr,Zn,AsandHg,whichwerethehighestin fishmuscle. PotentialecologicalriskanalysisofheavymetalconcentrationsinsedimentindicatedthattheSan RoqueLakeposedalowecologicalriskinallsamplingperiods.The targethazardquotients(THQs)andcarcinogenicrisk(CR)forindividualmetalsshowedthatAsinmuscle wasparticularlyhazardous,posingapotentialriskfor fishermen andthegeneralpopulationduring allsamplingperiods.Hgposesapotentialriskfor fishermen onlyintheintermediateseason.Itisimportant tohighlightthatnoneofthesetwoelementsexceededthelimitsconsideredashazardousforaquaticlifeinwaterandsediment.Thisresultprovestheimportanceofperformingmeasurementsofcontaminants, inbothabioticandbioticcompartments,toassessthequalityoffoodresources.Theseresults suggestthattheconsumptionofthis fish speciesfromthisreservoirisnotcompletelysafeforhuman health.
