Resumen:
The purpose of the pr:esent work is to inform students about the current applications of microwave radiation in the modern analytical chemistry laboratory. We focus on the advantages of microwave sample treatment and the procedures developed. Features such as rapidity, need of lower sample amounts and automation are detenninant factors for the growing application of microwave energy in analytical laboratories.
