Resumen:
Recently, Argumentation Mechanism Design(ArgMD) was introduced as a new paradigm forstudying argumentation among self-interestedagents using game-theoretic techniques. Preliminaryresults showed a condition under whicha direct mechanism based on Dung’s groundedsemantics is strategy-proof (i.e. truth enforcing). But these early results dealt with a highly restrictedform of agent preferences, and assumed agents canonly hide, but not lie about, arguments. In thispaper, we characterise strategy-proofness undergrounded semantics for a more realistic preferenceclass (namely, focal arguments). We also providethe first analysis of the case where agents can lie.
