This report describes the developments of hardware and software for the acquisition of meteorological and sky quality data for the proposed Argentinean sites for CTA, in San Juan and Salta. The system described here has been built by taking into account as many commercially available components as possible, and also considering the possibility of replacing any component by another of similar characteristics from an alternative vendor. Open source software is key in this elaboration to ensure availability, flexibility and low cost. Special attention has been paid to low power consumption, since the whole system is powered by solar energy. The system has been designed to be installed at isolated locations. Tests were ran to guarantee self recovery in case of failures.
