Resumen:
The energy of the cosmic rays observed by the surface detector only is calculated by means of a calibration curve which is obtained performing a dedicated analysis based on hybrid events. Therefore, the calibration depends on the composition of the cosmic rays. This effect can introduce biases in composition analyses when parameters with a strong dependence on primary energy, like the number of muons at a given distance from the core Nμ and Sb, are considered. In this work we study the effects of the dependence on composition of the calibration curve on the determination of the mean value of Nμ at 600 m from the shower axis in the energy range relevant to AMIGA.
