Resumen:
The infill area, an enhancement proposed within AMIGA (“Auger Muons and Infill for the Ground Array”), consists in a triangular array of surface detector (SD) stations with 750 m spacing. As the infill has a smaller spacing than the main array it is important to study its response using numericalsimulations. To perform this study we characterize the observables of particle showers as a function of the primary particle, energy and inclination. We studied the optimal distance (Ropt) that minimizes the fluctuations in the signal S(Ropt), the effect of events with saturated stations, the reconstruction efficiency and the 6T5 condition. Resolution of zenith angle, azimuth angle and impact point coordinates were also studied as well as the space angle between reconstructed axis and simulated axis to estimate the angular resolution and to compare with data.
