Resumen:
The Pierre Auger Observatory is being upgraded to study the energy spectrum of cosmic rays down to 0.1 EeV and to determine the muon com- ponent of extended showers of secondary particles. These enhancements consist of three high elevation telescopes (HEAT), 150 radio detector stations (AERA) and an area having both surface detectors and underground muon counters (AMIGA). The surface array is enhanced over 23.5km2 with a total of 85 detectors in a graded array called the infill. Proto- types of the muon scintillator counter have been developed and installed in this area. The prototypes electronics can be accessed via a service tube. An electronics interface board was designed to extract the data from the counter and to provide a remote control of the system. This document explains the design of the interface for the moun counter including the hardware. Specific functions have been added to achieve a fully configurable counter adding extra features making it a custom interface.
