Resumen:
The infill area, an enhancement proposed within AMIGA (“Auger Muons and Infill for the Ground Array”), consists in a triangular array of surface detector (SD) stations with 750 m spacing. As the infill has a smaller spac- ing than the main array it is important to study its response using numerical simulations. To perform this study we characterize the observables of parti- cle showers as a function of the primary particle, energy and inclination. We studied the optimal distance (Ropt ) that minimizes the fluctuations in the signal S (Ropt ), the effect of events with saturated stations, the reconstruc- tion efficiency and the 6T5 condition. Resolution of zenith angle, azimuth angle and impact point coordinates were also studied as well as the space angle between reconstructed axis and simulated axis to estimate the angular resolution and to compare with data.
