Resumen:
To elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying ES cells stemness and its relation to cell behavior we designed a novel bioinformatics algorithm to search for those genes (candidate genes) that might be under the regulation of the core transcriptional factors (Sox-2/Oct-4, Nanog) that confer stemness properties and the TGF-β/Smad pathway. At the same time, we also investigate possible correlation between these candidate genes with the ES response to hypoxia and other pathways that also control ES properties and cell behavior.
