Resumen:
Vertisols destined for rice cropping in Entre Ríos have high phosphorus (P) content unavailable for plants. In order to increase phosphorus availability and incorporate rotations with legume pastures in sites with a rice monoculture tradition, we identified bacteria with inorganic P solubilizing capacity in the rhizosphere of Lotus corniculatus plants. The aim of this work was to evaluate the growth promotion effect of rhizospheric bacteria on Lotus sp. 23 days after inoculation we observed that strains B2Ri29, B2Ri118, B8Ri302, B8Ri303, B8Ri310 and B11Ri527 significantly promoted the fresh stem weight, fresh root weight, lateral roots number and stem length of Lotus sp seedlings. These strains have a promising potential as bioinoculants for enhancing pasture yield and cattle production.
