ABSTRACTThe miner district of the Organullo (Pb-Cu-Zn-Ag-Au) is located in the Puna geological province (24º 24´S), correspond to epithermal system with two mines: Julio Verne and Torca mines. The hydrothermal alteration affect to different units from Puncoviscana Formación, Parcha Formación and Organullo Ignimbrite. Involves the types: silicic (quartz), phyllic (illite+muscovite+pyrite), argillic (kaolinite+pyrophyllite+alunita+jarosita) and propylitic(chlorite+epidote) in furthest zone. All the types are strong to moderate intensity with pervasive style. The presence of the some textures how vuggy quartz associated to pyrophyllite and sulfides how bornite, chalcocite, covelline and bismutine suggests a high sulfidation epithermal system of intermediate to deep depth.
