This paper presents an efficient and economic technique to obtain verticalprofiles for surf-zone wave-induced currents. The current-wave bottomboundary layer is solved in a parameterized manner, while employing a powerseries aproximation to obtain the solution in the middle layer (extending upto trough level). This "profile extraction technic" has been coupled to a 2DHsurf-zone circulation model which is also concisely described. The paper endswith a brief discussion of some obtained results part of the calibration workwhich is a very much on going task.
